York is ENGAGEd!
To help the city tackle climate change locally, York is ENGAGEd is a new campaign creating and displaying posters of real people and businesses in York who are pledging to take action to reduce their carbon emissions by making simple practical changes. Through York is ENGAGEd, people across York are pledging to take actions as simple as turning off lights when they leave a room, to growing their own vegetables. Many actions not only will help save carbon, but they may also save people money. For example using less energy and saving energy by installing loft insulation can also save money. You could save approxamately up to £180 a year through installing roof insulation (*Source EST) and it will help keep your home warmer To find out what you can do to ENGAGE visit the climate change pages of the City of York Council's website. www.york.gov.uk or see our guide below which is full of ideas on how you can ENGAGE.
